Cory Monteith, who starred in the Fox tv hit series Glee and was drummer in the band Bonnie Dune, has died. Cory was found dead at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver, Canada yesterday (July 13th). He was 31.
According to the Vancouver police, Cory's body was discovered by staff members of the hotel after he missed his checkout time. The cause of death was not immediately apparent, but the police believe the actor/musician was alone when he died and have ruled out foul play.
Substance abuse Earlier this year Cory Monteith had voluntarily checked into a drug addiction treatment facility.
He had been frank about his addiction struggles, telling in a 2011 interview that he began using drugs at thirteen. By the age of nineteen he first went into rehab after his mother and friends intervened.
