It has been reveiled that initial Nirvana drummer Chad Channing (photo) has started a solo project called Before Cars.

He has recently finished recording a five-song demo mastered by Jack Endino, engineer of the legendary Nirvana album \"Bleach\".
Channing has played all drums, guitars, bass, singing all the vocals, etc.
Channing is currently playing in Redband, where he has switched to bass guitar.
The group, including Andy Miller on drums, have just finished recording a four-song demo.
Chad Channing was Nirvana\'s original drummer. He is featured on the band\'s debut single, \'Love Buzz\'/\'Big Cheese\', the former a song written and first recorded by 60\'s Dutch group Shocking Blue.
However, Channing left Nirvana following a European tour, and as a likely replacement proved hard to find, Dan Peters from labelmates Mudhoney stepped in on a temporary basis.
