Kliph has released a detailed statement regarding the controversial situation via Pitchfork.

In the lengthy account, the drummer accuses his former band mate of verbal abuse, threats of physical abuse, racism, and even alleges that Wayne Coyne encouraged him to start a Twitter beef with The Black Keys.

But Steven Drozd, who joined The Flaming Lips in 1991 as their drummer but playing lead guitar and keyboards nowadays, responsed as a follows on Twitter:

"This Lips/Kliph bullshit has gone too far. We parted ways because of the usual band musical differences. The rest has been blown way out."

Outside of the Flaming Lips, Kliph Scurlock plays on Super Furry Animals' Gruff Rhys' new album American Interior and is featured in its accompanying app and film.
