\"This year comes to an end and we are sad to say that Amaran does the same. Since Johanna [DePierre, vocals] left us in July we have really been struggling looking for a replacement. We have tried by contacts, friends, ads, headhunting, hostile kidnapping and threat without any success. Our bad luck always seems to keep up with us. This issue has simply unplugged our tub of motivation, and we all decided to put Amaran six feet under.\"
Amaran\'s latest release, \"Pristine In Bondage\", was released in January 2004 through Listenable Records. The follow-up to \"A World Depraved\" was recorded and mixed during 21 days in April 2003 at Studio Underground in Västerås, Sweden.
\"Pristine In Bondage\" features drummer Robin Bergh, who decided to leave Amaran in March 2004 due to personal reasons. Pär Hjulström (from Athela) became the band\'s new sticksman.
Amaran also featured Ronnie Bergerståhl, drummer in Julie Laughs Nomore and Centinex among others, on bass guitar.
