Elton's latest project is centering around a custom made, $1 million piano, but more interesting - from our point of view - is Elton John's stellar live band featuring acclaimed drummers, percussionists annex backing vocalists Nigel Olsson, John Mahon and Ray Cooper.
Nigel Olsson, Elton John“s original drummer, helped establish the Elton John sound on drums, percussion and backing vocals. When not working with Elton, Nigel has taken up the role of a session musician. Olsson has also successfully composed, recorded, and produced albums for his own solo career.
John Mahon has been traveling the world as a full-time member of Elton John's band for the last fourteen years. John is also known for his work with artists such as Ray Charles, Tina Turner, Phil Collins and Bonnie Raitt, among many others.
Ray Cooper is a reknown session and road-tour percussionist, and occasional actor, who has worked with many heavy metal, alternative, rock and roll bands and artists including George Harrison, Billy Joel, and Eric Clapton.
The Million Dollar Piano show isn“t Elton John“s first Vegas show: in 2009 Elton and his band performed The Red Piano show at The Colosseum, Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.
