\"It was the year I traveled to Cuba. He was the drummer of Grupo Proyecto, with Roberto Vizcaino on percussion. A year later, they played in Holland and had a four day break there. I invited them to my house and they stayed all four days. What it was like? Well, Horacio was playing the clave for four days, and Roberto was teaching me percussion for the same period. An amazing time! In the following years we have played together lots of times. For instance I was a guest player in his band Italuba, and he plays drums on my first solo album. We even did a clinic tour together in the US.\"
You can hear Horacio on the second edition of Martin\'s first solo album \'Tribal Fusion\'. On this remake, which came out at the same time of his second album \'Old School New Sound\', Horacio plays drums on several tracks.
Reason enough to ask him for this album as well?
\"Horacio is just such a musical player. He doesn\'t play 100%, he plays 200%, always! Besides that he is technically so gifted, and he literally knows everything about the music that is going to be on the album. He has that special energy that lifts a song to another level.\"
In January 2008, the line-up of the album will be completed. Martin smiles when telling both Alex Acuña and Andy Narell will be recording two songs for the album. The other recording musicians for the album are: Edison Award winner Randal Corsen on keys, Peter Tiehuis and Ed Verhoeff on guitar, and Reno Steba on bass.
The album - the title remains a secret - will be released in April 2008. It will be available on Drummerszone.com and on Martin\'s web site.

\"The biggest pleasure is to be able to play with other musicians that really know what they are doing. There\'s two kinds of music: there\'s good music and bad music.\"
