Since the eighties hiphop and funk fans have been using Rare Groove to describe obscure and almost forgotten old jazz and funk tracks.
That\'s why CD 1 contains fat funk breaks from the Netherlands that were almost lost in oblivion. Listen to the wonderful grooves of the Houseband and Chris Hinze. Even Herman Brood and Vitesse are featured. To put it in other words: surprising tracks that breath funk and can be used well to create samples.
CD @ is dubbed \"Dutch Rare Food\" and contains remixes by C-Mon & Kypski. Their funked-up interpretations of CD 1 feature guest appearances by Pete Philly, Paradox (Illicit), Colin Benders (trumpet played of Relax) and U-Gene.
To underline the duality of both discs both C-Mon & Kypski and the Dutch Rare Groove Band, with Louis Debij on drums, will play live at the releaseparty on October 28. Place to be is Club Fantasio (NPI), Prins Hendrikkade 142 in Amsterdam. The party starts at 22: 00 hours, entrance is € 5,- You can find more info here.
