Originally from Sweden, Leo Ciesa taught drums and played a wide variety of music in Europe until he came to the United States in 1981 to study at the Creative Music Studio in Woodstock, NY, and at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles. He was based in LA and Baltimore before moving to New York City in 1986.
