Dennis Merrick, former Earth Crisis sticksman, has been added to the ranks of Freya. He replaces initial drummer Corey Koniz.

Merrick and the other Freya members, Karl Buechner (vocals), Bulldog (bass, backing vocals) and Erick Edwards (guitar) already known each other well: the musicians have played together for ten year in Earth Crisis.
From its inception in 1991 to its demise in 2001, Earth Crisis forged a name as one of the most outspoken bands of their era, selling over 300,000 albums and touring North America, Europe, Japan and South America.
Freya\'s debut album, \"As the Last Light Drains\", was issued in 2003 via Victory Records.
With Dennis Merrick on the drum throne Freya will start recording their second album \"Lift the Curse\" in the near future.
