For the first time since Kurt Cobain committed suicide in 1994, drummer Dave Grohl, former bassist Krist Novoselic and guitarist Pat Smear performed together on stage. The reunion happed during a secret Foo Fighters gig at the Paladino's club in Tarzana, California on December 21.

The trio played Marigold the non-album b-side of Nirvana's 'Heart-Shaped Box' with Grohl both playing drums and singing lead vocals.
The gig was actually a secret Foo Fighters show to celebrate the completion of their new album.
The Foo Fighters debuted four songs from the as-yet-untitled new album: Back + Forth, White Limo, Dear Rosemary and These Days.
The band's seventh studio record features Novoselic playing accordion and bass on one track, I Should Have Known.
