Chris Slade confirmed the news via Facebook, saying: "Yes, the drum stool is under old management!"

Chris was brought back into the fold after previous drummer Phil Rudd became estranged from the band when he was charged with threatening to kill and drug possession in late 2014.

Phil has had his February 10 court date delayed until April due to his lawyer quitting the case. It is unconfirmed whether or not he has permanently left the band.

Crhis says he is delighted with the opportunity of returning to the legendary group:

"This is an amazing opportunity for me. After all, most people don't ever get to play with their favourite band once, let alone twice! I would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming support I have been shown (...) it has been very humbling. Thanks so much."

AC/DC's latest album 'Rock Or Bust' was released last November and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Rock Albums chart with 172,000 sold. It also debuted at No. 1 on Hard Rock Albums and No. 3 on the Billboard 200, where AC/DC scored its ninth top 10.
