Sabian released three little brothers of the Chad Smith signature AA Holy China that was launched in 2010 and introduced at the Winter NAMM Show 2011. During the press meeting Chad Smith made his appearance as a priest - yes, no kidding. We interviewed him at the time as well and we added those in the video below as well. Prepare for a ride with the legendary Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer below. The new AA Mini Holy China cymbals are available in 8", 10" and 12" sizes in natural or brilliant finish.
Sabian created these new sizes because of the many questions from the market for smaller sized effect cymbals. The little brothers have the same raw bell design, the same hole pattern but different in configuration depending on the size of the cymbal, and it has the same high profile as the Holy China. The AA Mini Holy China is basically the same cymbal but is compresses the volume, trash and cut of their big brother, the 21" AA Holy China.
