The Make A Noise Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization co-founded by Grammy Award-winning musician Steve Vai.

All proceeds from the auction will benefit Shellenberger and Cedars-Sinai\'s Maxine Dunitz Neurosugical Institute in Los Angeles, where the drummer is being treated.

The auction includes a lot of rare music memorabilia such as a Sabian AAX cymbal autographed by several legendary drummers including Derico Watson and Jojo Mayer, a Zildjian cymbal autographed by Angels and Airwaves, and a Meinl MB20 Heavy Crash Cymbal autographed by Mastodon. Other items include multiple drum heads, one signed by legends Jimmy Cobb and Charli Persip, others signed by Nonpoint drummer Robb Rivera and Buckcherry.

You can also bid on and OCDP snare drum signed by members of No Doubt and Lit, and Vater Drumsticks autographed by Billy Idol, The Police drummer Stewart Copeland, and Virgil Donati. The band Lit enjoyed multi-platinum success and chart-topping singles including My Own Worst Enemy and Miserable. After together for over two decades the band continues to write, record and tour.

Despite the diagnosis, Shellenberger, who is pursuing radiation and chemotherapy treatments, is said to be in good spirits and committed to the fight. Lit guitarist Jeremy Popoff states:

\"Our drummer Allen’s young and healthy and if anyone has a chance to beat this tumor, it’s him. As sad and scared as we all are, we’re standing by him and staying positive. We’re going to fight this together.”

Last July Lit held a benefit for Allen at House Of Blues in Anaheim, California. No Doubt drummer Adrian Young filled in for Allen on the drums for a few songs. Allen and Adrian also played at the same time for a few songs as well.
