Bobby Amaru, drummer for Jacksonville-based band Burn Season, has decided to switch from drummer to frontman. Bobby has been named lead singer for rap/metal band Saliva.
Bobby’s first shows as Saliva's lead vocalist will start in mid-February when the band hits the road for a three-week tour.
Besides having played drums Burn Season, Bobby has also fronted his own solo group.
Saliva, featuring Paul Crosby on drums and percussion, parted ways with founding vocalist Josey Scott earlier this year because he wanted to pursue a career as a solo Christian artist.
The new version of Saliva has already recorded three new songs. The are currently looking for a new record deal after splitting with Island Records.
