Singer Mika, reunited boyband Take That and X-Factor winner Leona Lewis lead the 2008 Brit Award nominees with four nominations apiece. The Brits are Britains\'s most important music awards and can be compared to the Grammy Awards in the US.

Take That, who reunited in 2006 after ten years, are nominated for an award as best British group, best live act, best album (\'Beautiful World\', featuring Jeff Rothschild on drums) and best single (Shine.
Mika is nominated in the categories best British male solo artist, best British breakthrough act, best album (\'Life In Cartoon Motion\', with Matt Chamberlain and Greg Wells among others on drums), and best single (Grace Kelly).
Leona Lewis, the vocalist who won television music talent show X-Factor in 2006, is nominated as best British female solo artist, best British breakthrough act, best best album (\'Spirit\', with several session drummers including studio veteran Ian Thomas), and best single (Bleeding Love).
Mark Ronson, Kate Nash, Arctic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs each have a chance to win three Awards.
Among the international nominated artists are Kylie Minogue, Arcade Fire, Eagles and Foo Fighters.
Former Beatle Paul McCartney is being honoured with the Outstanding Contribution Award for his \"incredible career and his outstanding charitable work\".
The Brits are the British Phonographic Industry\'s annual pop music awards. Its 28th edition is set to be held on February 20 at Earls Court in London, with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne hosting.
