Bob, who has owned the classic drum set for more than two decades, is now on a mission to get his drums back.

According to San Marcos Sheriff's Station Sgt. Joe Ellis, the drums were reported stolen Friday morning.

The set was estimated to be worth about $5,000 but Bob feels the set was priceless to him:

"Unfortunately, I did not have insurance coverage, but they cannot be easily replaced anyway. The drums were the same kind that were used by legendary jazz drummers Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa. Back then, they were considered the best drums you could buy. Mine were in such fine condition - perfect really - and made jaws drop."

The stolen set includes a kick drum, a floor tom and a rack tom, he said. A black fabric drum seat was also stolen. The drums are each in a black fabric drum bag with Patrowics' name and phone number inside.
