Lady Gaga fans picked up on the tweet and slammed Patrick Carney's account with nasty tweets.

His response has been by retweeting the best of the worst. Patrick was called "an ugly ass bitch," compared him to "the kid in the wheelchair on 'Glee'" and even threatened him with bodily harm.

The drummer stated Gaga's anti-bullying message has not translated well to her fans. He tweeted:

"Hey, little monsters! Everyone knows lady gaga sounds nothing at all like Madonna. I was joking!"
