Fates Warning InsideOut Music has set a November 11 release date for the Fates Warning DVD, entitled \"Live In Athens\". The release features 15 live tracks shot was on February 20, 2005 at Gagarin in Athens, Greece.
After long-time drummer Mark Zonder departed, Nick D\'Virgilio (photo) was recruited to sit on the drum throne. However, the \'DVD Extras\' including two tracks filmed at the 2005 Holland Headway Festival featuring Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater on drums.
Europe Reunited Swedish hard rockers Europe, featuring Ian Haugland on drums, will release a live DVD, entitled \"Live from the Dark\", on November 18 through Mayan, a subsidiary of Sanctuary.
The two-disc set will feature the group\'s November 15, 2004 concert at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, England along with video clips, interviews, band information and a section called \"Taxi Diaries.\"
Papa Roach Papa Roach, with David Buckner behind the kit, have set a November 22 release date through Geffen for their DVD, entitled \"Live & Murderous In Chicago\". The disc will feature \"80 minutes of the raw live energy Papa Roach is known for, shot in high definition at the Vic in Chicago,\" all of the band\'s videos, exclusive never-before-seen, all-access footage, a photo gallery, and more.
Testament Eagle Rock Entertainment has set a November 1 release date for the new DVD from thrash legends Testament, entitled \"Live In London\". This release is the documentation of a dream that long-time die-hard Testament fans have been waiting for: the reuniting of the band\'s \"classic\" line-up, featuring original drummer Louie Clemente along with John Tempesta as a second drummer. On this DVD the band rips through classic Testament fan favorites in a show shot in London earlier in 2005.
Clawfinger Swedish rap metallers Clawfinger, featuring sticksman Henka Johansson, will include a bonus DVD with their limited-edition version of the new Clawfinger album \"Hate Yourself With Style\".
The dvd will feature nine live tracks from the band\'s appearance at the Greenfield Festival, Interlaken, Switzerland in June, and eight video clips. \"Hate Yourself With Style\" is scheduled for release on November 21 via Nuclear Blast Records.
Death A few days earlier, on November 11, Nuclear Blast Records will release a Death dvd entitled \"Death: Live in Cottbus\". It will have the same track listing as the \"Live in L.A. (Death & Raw)\" dvd and will also include all the press pictures from the \"The Sound of Perseverance\" era (1998) as well. The line-up for the recording includes Richard Christy on drums.
Also, a new \"deluxe\" edition of the \"The Sound of Perseverance\" cd will contain \"Live in Cottbus\" as a bonus dvd. Both releases will be available through the Nuclear Blast online shop.
Rush Last but not least: Rush\'s much-anticipated new dvd, \"R30 Live In Frankfurt\", is scheduled for release in the U.S. on November 22. Filmed using 14 hi-definition cameras on September 24, 2004, the two-DVD set contains the Frankfurt concert on the first disc, with excellent views of drummer Neil Peart as well. The second disc contains interviews, rare and classic footage from the late seventies to the tsunami relief benefit concert in 2005.
