This grooving moment during Steve Gadd's 2017 clinic in The Netherlands happened when someone asked him about disco grooves. Steve being Steve, he first played a groove and elaborated after this improvisation on his work during the days that Disco music was popular.

The band Stuff
During the 1970s and 1980s, Steve Gadd was in a band called Stuff. With this band they recorded and backed artists on stage like Aretha Franklin, John Lennon, Paul Simon, Joe Cocker ('Stingray' album world tour) and performed with Saturday Night Live in its second season. The band released five Gold selling records between 1975 and 1980, of which the album 'More Stuff' got a Grammy nomination.

In the video, Steve reminisces on his time with Richard Tee, Eric Gale, Cornell Dupree and the other drummer of the band, Chris Parker.
