Every year, the Sunday after the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany, the Adams store in Diest, Belgium organizes the Adams Drummers Festival. Triggerfinger drummer Mario Goossens kicked off with his bass player Monsieur Paul. Just the rhythm section of the band, playing as if they were already opening for The Rolling Stones on July 6 in London. The rock trio Triggerfinger from Belgium is an ongoing groove train of rock, grunge, pop and all other genres they can get their hands on. The videos show you why this band has reached the top.
In the first video Mario and Paul play the groove of All This Dancin' Around from their 2010 album.
The last video shows the skills Mario has down: the straight but tight open groove, the finesses, the techniques and of course the Rock that is equivalent to Triggerfinger and their attitude.
During the clinic they explained the audience how their grooves and rhythms come to live, and how keep them going. All with a lot of humor and fun - the most important factor when making music, according to Mario. And it is true, the fun they have playing is as addictive as the music of Triggerfinger.
Mario Goossens Mario Goossens studied with Dom Famularo, Jim Chapin, Larry Levine, Charles Perry and Koen Vanduffel, with whom he started a drum school; now the renowned Muziekodroom music venue & academy (Belgium). He has played with Triggerfinger for 14 years and is constantly touring Europe due to their success with the hit single I follow rivers that went platinum in Belgium, Holland, Austria and Gold in Germany, and with the success album 'All This dancing around' that went Gold in Belgium and Holland. Besides his work for Triggerfinger he is also active as recording artist and producer.
