The limited Pewter over Copper
The Pewter Copperphonic is a brand new snare in the Ludwig line. The new finish is an addition to Ludwig's Phonic family of snare drums. The dry, deep sounding drum is a Limited Edition production for 2020 only, and the snares have the new Special Edition badge.

These two Pewter sizes can be orderedm but only in 2020:

Two new 8-Lug Black Beauty snare drums
Because of the new, but traditional, 8-lugs on the two new Black Beauty snares, the sound opens up because the heads are not pressed with the normal 10 lugs on the snare. The snares have Ludwig's standard Phonic series hardware that includes imperial lugs, 2.3mm triple-flanged hoops, P88 throw-off, and the P35 butt-plate. All Ludwig drums are nowadays fitted with Remo drumheads.

Jazz Fest Series
Re-introduced in 2019, the Legacy Mahogany Jazz Fest snare drums now have more classic finishes. Added in the video is a small recap from the 2019 introduction. Jazz Fest Snare Drums feature a Vintage 64' snare bed, 8 twin lugs, 3-step baseball bat tone-control and a white Reso-Coat interior inside.

These are now all wrap-tite finishes available for the Jazz Fest snare drums. All the finishes are featured in the video.

Aged Exotic Carpathian Elm
Of this beautiful snare drum only 40 will be available in North America only. And it is probably already sold out, despite the price of ± $1,500. The material for this snare was sourced from a private stock and stored for more than 30 years.

The 6.5x14 snare has a 10-ply shell of Carpathian Elm veneer alternated with plies of North American Maple. Finished in Ludwig's Poly-Glass Lacquer for maximum durability. The Carpathian Elm has Nickel Die- Cast hoops, tube lugs, P88 Throw-off, and P35.
