Built up from tiny layers in a 3D printer, Wizzdrum from The Netherlands was one of the most creative drum brands at the NAMM Show this year. Watch inventor Wouter Hietkamp show and demonstrate the two Wizzdrums and check out Armin van Buren's drummer Koen Herfst giving the kit a proper beating.
3D Printed Wizzdrum 2.0 Wizzdrum introduced the first model in 2014 at the Frankfurt Musikmesse. Responses to the tiny kit were good, but many drummers request a version with pedals. Here are the new 2020 3D printed Wizzdrums: one without pedals, and one that has a hihat and a bass drum pedal. Watch closely, the first kit has a leverage to open and close the hihat on the kit.
Noteworthy is the tuning of the Wizzdrum drum kits. Wizzdrum found a perfect and quite revolutionary solution for applying and tuning the drumhead on the kit. Watch it in the video below.
