Of course Zildjian launched, besides their new professional in-ear monitors, a range of new cymbals at NAMM 2019. Here are the first four: 3 new K Cluster Crashes and the 14" Sweet Hi-Hat. Zildjian's cymbal tester Jeff Westhaver shows and demos them all within this one-minute video.
Zildjian K Cluster Crashes The new K Cluster Crashes have an unlathed bell and are paper thin in weight. The traditional K style hammering is done with additional cluster hammer marks that create a darker, trashier sound and it opens up very quick and gives a shorter sustain.
The new Cluster Crashes are available in three new sizes: 16, 18 and 20".
14" K Sweet Hi-Hat cymbals In 2018 Zildjian launched the K Zildjian Sweet Collection with nine new cymbals, including the 15" and 16" K Sweet Hi-Hats. This year the company added the 14" to the collection. Just like the others, they have K hammering, a thin top and an extra heavy bottom, and unlathed bells.
