"Practice made perfect," is Sabian's claim with the new low volume cymbals called the Quiet Tones. The cymbals have a design that looks like the other cymbal brand that has similar cymbals on the market, but Sabian's design make them play like it were traditional cymbals. Especially the bell and the bow, or edge, respond and feel as if you were playing a normal cymbal.
The volume of the Quite Tones is extremely reduced, which make the perfect for practicing or drum lessons. The Quiet Tones are manufactured from a durable alloy that resists denting or breaking. They come in four sets that are already available in North America, and worldwide in the spring of 2018.
Mark Love, Sabian's Director of Research & Product Development, explains how this works and demos the different Quiet Tone cymbals in the video below.
