From cajons to conga's, new beaters or foot tambourines, every year at NAMM, Meinl Percussion always has at least a few surprises in the new product catalogue. This year's specialties are the Snarebox with two internal snare wires played by the chain driven bassbox / snarebox pedal, the Hybrid Timbales made of Siam Oak and steel, and Kachiro Thompson's new artist series congas. Of course there is lots more, like the cute Jr. Djembes or even the Pickup Slap-Top Cajon with a Passive Pickup System with an Output Jack to plug it straight into your amplifier.
