Although Aquarian welcomed plenty of visitors at the Winter NAMM Show 2015, it was surprisingly quiet at their booth. That had everything to do with Aquarian's new Super Pad, both a stand-alone pad for silent practice and a low-volume acoustic drum mute.
Aquarian Accessories, celebrating 35 years of drumhead innovation, drumming education and new technologies in 2015, also created the Super Pad as an effective drumming tool for low-volume music making.
The low profile design fits comfortably into any set-up. You can place it on anything: drums, tables, snare drum stands, beds or even your lap.
Unlike other drum mutes, the cushioned Super-Pad drumsurface fits right on top of your kit’s batter heads. The Super Pad just reduces acoustic drum volume but still retains natural drumstick rebound and real drumhead feel. While your toms won't sound boomy, the tones of the pads follow the natural cascade of pitch from high to low.
