Sonor is celebrating their 140th anniversary in 2015 - since 1875(!), that is. The company celebrates this with spectacular new products like the Vintage Series drums that won Best in Show at NAMM 2015, and with two limited edition snare drums. For both The Macassar Ebony and Black Chacate a certain tree has been selected, and the instruments are the top of the line of the Sonor snare program and honour the tradition of exiting veneers and innovative instruments within the company's history.

Both snare drums have an edition volume of 80. Each series features an extremely limited run of special designed snare drums with spectacular natural grown veneers and new shell designs. Vertical outside veneer grains have been introduced through Sonor in 1973 and are the companies trademark ever since.
The badges highlight laser cut mallet shaped logos, made out of the same veneer that is used on the snares itself. Each One Of A Kind snare drum is delivered in a hard case, made to Sonor's specification and includes a personal 'welcome to the SONOR family' package.
