The news that Toca and other brands were acquired by DW, just before the winter NAMM show, surprised everybody in the music market. Luckily that does not mean developments change or stop. Toca delivered a few nice new products and new finishes for 2015. Highlights are the Bongo Flip-Cajon and the entry level Colorsound Cajons. Just like previous years, Toca artist Jim Greiner takes you through the new products in three videos. Here's the complete update on the new for Toca for 2015.

The djembes are 12.5" high with a 7" synthetic head, a Nylon rope tuning system and a protective rubber bottom. Each djembe is made from a lightweight, seamless synthetic shell material.
The Colorsound djembes are available in Pastel colors Blue, Green, Pink, Purple and Yellow.

The Spirit finish—green, yellow and red—is based on the colors the traditional Rastafarian movement. The Thinker—two shades of red with a burnished gold design—is inspired by traditional African designs.

Street Series in a Black Onyx Finish The beautiful Black Onyx Finish in the Street Series djembes are hand carved from one piece of environmentally friendly, plantation grown mahogany. It has a kiln-dried shell with 20 coats of teak oil, which protects and preserves the wood.
Also an instrument that is ideal for beginners, these are available in small ($75), medium ($130) and large ($240).
Toca Bongo Flip-Cajon Absolute highlight for this year is the new Bongo Flip-Cajon from Toca that only costs around $119. Jim Greiner demos it in the video and notice how the cajon snares don't resonate while playing the bongo side of the instrument. It comes with a lap strap that you can around your body to keep it in place.
The bongo side has sounds from both the macho and hembra drums. It measures just 14.5" x 8" x 6.5".
