Gretsch will reveal their new entry level Gretsch G Series with two new models at the 2012 Winter NAMM show next week. The G Series feature a distinctive chrome badge, Gretsch quick-sized toms and easy-to-position double tom holder, making it a great choice if you're a first time buyer.
The first model, Gretsch GS1, comes complete with a Gibraltar 4602 hardware pack, Sabian SBR cymbal 2-pack plus Gretsch 5A drumsticks.
Its configuration is as follows: 10" x 7" plus 12" x 8" tomtoms, 14" x 14" floor tom, 22" x 16" bass drum plus 14" x 5.5" snare drum. Available finishes are Liquid Black and Dark Red Metallic.
Gretsch's GS1 is priced at approximately $740 (about €578 or £479).
Model GS2 comes complete with a Gibraltar 4600 hardware pack, Sabian SBR cymbal 3-pack and Gretsch 5A drumsticks.
Its configuration is as follows: 10" x 7" and 12" x 8" tomtoms, 14" x 14" floor tom, 20" x 18" bass drum, 14" x 5.5" snare drum. Finishes will available in Liquid Black, Dark Red Metallic, Grey Steel, Liquid Black, Dark Red Metallic, Grey Steel, and Dark Blue Metallic.
Gretsch's GS2 is priced at about $895 (slightly less than € 700 or £579).
