Drumplates, manufacturer of positioning systems for drums, are from Holland. Starting out with just some hand made plates a couple of years ago, by now the company have many famous artists playing their drums, tightly set to the plates of the company of founder Jan Koster produces. We ran into him at the 2010 NAMM show and he gave us a full update on the newest feature: the LED Drumblocks.

The LED Drumblocks are controlled by a footswitch next to the Hi-Hat. It has six different pieces that have five different settings: fast, slow, a left chase, a right chase, flash, and random. At the Frankfurter Music Messe Drumplates will come out with a full DMX controlled LED drumblock set. Ten LED\'s on the side and six going up. DMX is a standard in the market for digital communication networks that are used to control stage lighting and effects. That makes the drumblocks professional accessories with decent quality. The LED Drumblocks come out March 1st and will cost $399,-
Next to this nice, and quite spectacular new feature for Drumplates, Jan Koster also told us that the production of The Junior-Pro Series was upgraded to thousands instead of the smaller figures a fairly new company as Drumplates is used to.
