The company has already sold over 5 million Boomwhackers world wide, and may consider its product a huge success. The majority of the companies\' sales are in the U.S., but also ships to dozens of countries on every continent, and the Boomwhackers have won many awards. They are a favorite of music educators around the world and are also used by professional musicians, in teambuilding and in music therapy.
The Boomwhackers As said, Boomwhackers are a set of six tubes. Five of the six sets combine to create 2½ chromatic octaves. The sixth set, the C Major Pentatonic Scale, is a subset of the C Major Diatonic Scale.
The standard or higher octave ranges in length from about 1 to 2 feet. The bass octave ranges from about 2 to 4 feet. The Treble Extension Set ranges from less than a foot to about 8 inches long. The 1 3/4\" diameter is a comfortable size to hold for young children and up through adult.
The Boomwhackers Tubes\' colors are based on the Chroma-Notes™ Colored Music System. The colors start with \"C\" being red and essentially proceed through the color wheel as the notes progress through the chromatic musical scale. The company is working on increasing the number of instruments available using this color scheme.
Video In the video attached with this article you see three Boomwhackers artists playing the Boomwhackers. Also, you find a complete inside of the software that the company is developing by Craig Ramsell, inventor of the Boomwhackers.
The upcoming program is called the Wacky Chromanotes Composer and should be available summer 2008. Its suggested retail price is a little less than $ 50.00.
