Joost is also drumming with New Cool Collective, Ivo is teaching at the Herman Brood Academy in Utrecht, and Nico will to a theater tour with singer Angela Groothuizen.

Frontman Dinand Woesthoff writes on Kane's website that 2012 will be a different year:

"Different, both in personal terms and terms of priority. In short: it's time for each other let go. [Guitarists] Dennis [van Leeuwen], Robin [Berlijn] and I will hit a diiferent road for Kane's sixth album. We are proud of all those beautiful moments we have experienced together."

Kane has had a lot of changes in their line-up. Only Lead vocalist and band leader Dinand Woesthoff plus guitarist van Leeuwen have been part of the band since its beginning in 1998.

According to the band's management, Nico has been the band's keyboardist for 12 years. Ivo and Joost have been with Kane for four years.
