Music teacher Max Blessing, who was director and drum major in the 1980's and first half of the 1990's for Frankfort High School in Frankfort, Kentucky and is currently working at a Frankfort elementary school, is being investigated after a student says he hit her."He started drumming to teach me how to do it. Then he struck the top of my right hand with his drum stick twice. It kind of hurt really bad. After that then he threw the sticks across the room and then turned around and rubbed his face."
Max Blessing denies having done anything of the sort. According to Frankfort Superintendent Les Bivens, the teacher indicated that it didn't happen.
The incident wasn't reported to authorities until several days after the fact.
While Sarah Swearingen's parents have enrolled their daughter in another school, Max Blessings remains employed in his current position.
