Some projects just simply get bigger, bigger and better. Faithless founder Jamie Catto started a project called Sudan365.org, and it is growing ever since he just started it. After Stewart Copeland, Evelyn Glennie, Nick Mason, Caroline Corr and others joined the team of global drummers for peace, Rob Snijders from The Netherlands took up the initiative with some of Holland\'s finest, including Dennis Leeflang, who is working and living in New York.

Sudan 365 was launched on 9 January 2010, 365 days from when a referendum is due to be held to determine the future of Sudan. The people of South Sudan will vote to decide whether they wish to remain part of a united Sudan or whether they want to become an independent country. While writing this article it is not even sure the referendum will be held at all.
More and more drummers around the globe are taking part in this peaceful endeavor. Why? With this, another civil war is threatening the country which will cause more civilians to die. Where politics fail, drummers pick up their sticks and are creating the global beat for peace. A truly honest, civilized, and creative way to protect human rights and create awareness on a global scale.
Drummerszone.com recorded Bram Hakkens\' playing for the Dutch submission for Sudan365.org. On an early, stone cold Friday morning we set up three cameras to make some cool edits. In the video list below you can watch the complete Dutch movie Rob Snijders (Agua de Annique, Ayreon) put together with these drummers: Rob Klerkx (Moke), Bram Hakkens (Kyteman, Waylon), Norman Bonink (Bløf), Koen Herfst (Bagga Bownz), Tim van Delft (De Staat), Bart Nederhand (Peter Pan Speedrock) en Dennis Leeflang (Lita Ford, independent).
Also, we added some edits we made of the recordings with Bram in and old, empty factory. The fore last video is one of the flash mob of the Dutch drum4peace organization, held on Dam square in Amsterdam on April 10. Finally, you can watch the feature the guys had on prime time national television; in Dutch, but with some kick ass drums in it.
On Sudan365.org you find all the other videos submitted from all around the globe, including the latest news on the situation in Sudan.
