Wacken Open Air 2007 has hardly finished, but the festival organisation has announced the first confirmed acts for next year\'s edition.

Iron Maiden, featuring Nicko McBrain on drums, will be headlining Wacken Open Air 2008. Children Of Bodom, Kreator and Avantasia (Edguy frontman Tobias Sammet\'s solo project) will play as well.
Both Iron Maiden\'s and Avantasia\'s show at Wacken Open Air festival will be their only show in Germany that year.
Next year Wacken will take place between July 31 and August 2, 2008. Festival tickets cost € 99 (around $ 135) and can be ordered on www.metaltix.com.
