According to Silent Majority Group (SMG) Fosterchild\'s first official release was co-produced by Brett Hestla (Virgos, Dark New Day) and Pete Thornton (Shinedown, Limp Bizkit). \"Independence Day\" features 11 songs, including the first single Sugar Cookie.
Labeling themselves as a \"down and dirty rock \'n\' roll band\" with blues, southern rock and even a bit of classic metal influences, Fosterchild\'s sound is reminiscent of Guns n\' Roses, Mötley Crüe and The Cult.
Fosterchild was formed in 2005 by drummer Kevin Miller and guitarist Brian Quinn soon after Miller\'s departure from Fuel and Quinn\'s resignation from Octane. Hailing from Philadelphia, the band has enjoyed success touring up and down the East Coast, performing with such bands as Theory Of A Deadman, Sugar Ray, Black Label Society and more.
