PlayDrums! is a series of video tutorials along with a variety of printable guides and support materials that have been developed to provide music dealers and teachers with a simple method for giving free, five-minute introductory drumset and conga lessons in their local communities.
In short, the program allows music dealers and teachers to cultivate and motivate new players by emphasizing the fun and positive impact of making music - more specifically - percussion! These introductory lessons enable first-time drummers to experience the fun and satisfaction of playing a basic drum beat after a short, five-minute lesson.
The site, featuring step-by-step \"how to\" videos by world reknown drumset artist Dom Famularo, leads teachers and music retailers on how to run a program that will increase the number of students in their studios. The site also features a Lesson Sign-Up Sheet, Sample Press Release, Presenter Flyer, Consumer Flyer, Lesson Guides for Congas and Drumset, Playdrums! Lesson Certificate and a Program Evaluation Form.
Best of all - this is all offered at no charge!
This program was developed and endorsed by leading drummers and educators in association with the Percussion Marketing Council (PMC) and NAMM (The International Music Products Association).
We encourage you to take a few minutes to browse over to the PlayDrums site, view the videos, and perhaps even use this program to help expand your own teaching practice. Click here to go to the web site of Play Drums!
About PMC The Percussion Marketing Council (PMC) is the percussion industry\'s trade organization. Its members are drum and percussion manufacturers, suppliers, and dealers and it is governed by a board made up from a representative group of its members. But more than just a group of companies and a governing body, the PMC is a non-profit with a mission to actively promote the many benefits of drumming to the general public.
