\"As you all may have guessed we are back from [the recording studio in] New Jerssey and our new album is all finished. I must say that it sounds absolutely amazing and I think you all will be as pleased as we are with the finished album.\"
According to the drummergirl the release is slated for March of 2007. Fans who have a hard time waiting, can listen to a preview on Kittie\'s MySpace page, where some full songs are available. Continues Mercedes Lander:
\"On top of that, Morgan [Lander, guitar/vocals] and I have been working with a very talented artist and are in the process of putting the finishing touches on some killer album artwork, so be on the look out for a preview of that as well. \"
Kittie\'s new cd was produced by Jack Ponti, who has previously worked with Bon Jovi, Skid Row, and Alice Cooper. The band recently finished mixing the effort with producer Kevin Shirley (Iron Maiden, Dream Theater).
Kittie has sold more over a million records since the release of their debut, \"Spit\", in 2000. That album was followed by 2001\'s \"Oracle\" and 2004\'s \"Until the End\", with several eps in between.
Kittie\'s latest release, the downloadable ep \"Never Again\", was issued in February 2006 through Rock Ridge Music. iTunes is offering an exclusive four-track version of the ep, which includes the bonus track Everything That Could Have Been.
