Arctic Monkeys, featuring Matt Helders (photo) on the drum throne, made history at the NME Awards. They took home both an award as Best British Band and as Best New Band.
It\'s the first time in the event\'s history that the same band has won both awards. On top of that, the band\'s new single I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor was named Best Track as well.
James Blunt has won his first ever ShockWaves NME Award. However, it\'s not one to be proud of. After a year which has seen the singer pick up numerous awards - including two Brits - Blunt now has a Worst Album accolade under his belt.
Blunt could find a shoulder to cry on by The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins, who was voted Worst Dressed Artist, and the Worst Band, Son Of Dork.
