The recent departure of frontwoman Tarja Turunen (photo) marked the end of an era for Nightwish. Aptly titled \"End of an Era\", Spinefarm Records has set June 5, 2006 as release date for the band\'s upcoming CD/DVD featuring their final concert with Turunen.

\"End of an Era\" will contain the October 21, 2005 concert with singer Tarja Turunen\'s final show as singer for Nightwish, which took place at the Hartwall arena in Helsinki, Finland.
A 30-second video clip filmed by an audience member during the concert is available online. Pick your favourite format: Real Media or Quicktime.
Nightwish, featuring Jukka Nevalainen on the drum throne, fired Turunen via an \"open letter,\" which was given to the singer immediately following the Helsinki show.
The group are currently seeking a replacement vocalist before entering the studio in September 2006 to begin recording the follow-up to 2004\'s \"Once\", tentatively due in mid-2007.
According to the musicans, the new singer will mark the start of a new Nightwish era.
