In 2004 413,000 people visited the Rock Hall. That number is not even half of the 873,000 rock fans who visited the Museum in 1996, the first full year of operation. The opening 1995 drew appearances from Little Richard and his drummer Charles Connor (foto), among many others.

Museum officials say they\'re looking to expand with a $10 million library and archive of rock history. The museum also is looking to add special events to boost return attendance.

Meanwhile, a museum dedicated to the godfathers of punkrock, The Ramones, will open in Berlin this month. According to a posting on MTV.com it will boast more than 300 original memorabilia items, collected between the band\'s earliest stages all the way up through the final Ramones concert nine years ago.

Along with hundreds of press clippings and gig flyers, the museum features one of the first Ramones concert T-shirts, a pair of Johnny Ramone\'s jeans, sneakers and drumsticks used by Marky Ramone, and Joey Ramone\'s old stage glove. There\'s even a leather jacket along with the Ramones\' debut on vinyl — both signed by all four members of the legendary band.

Marky is impressed and flattered by the first Ramones museum:

\"The guy who started the museum in Berlin is a huge Ramones fan. In fact, every time I would come there, he would be at the shows, and he must have attended every show we played in Germany. [There are] things that I\'m amazed that he has. I wish [late members] Johnny, Joey, and Dee Dee were alive to see this, because they would be very flattered like I am.\"
