The 2005 Music of Black Origin (Mobo) Awards are coming up! And singer Lemar (photo), who won a Brit Award for \'Best Urban Act\' in 2004 and has to date sold over 1.3 million albums to date, is set to be the main man.

Lemar Obika has five nominations which makes him the most nominated artist at the 2005 awards.
The BBC Fame Academy finalist is up against Joss Stone among other for UK act of the year. Lemar\'s other nominations include best R&B act and best video.
Other nominees include Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, Sean Paul and Jamiroquai.
London\'s Royal Albert Hall will host the 10th Anniversary Mobo Awards on September 22, 2005.
Africa award This year a new Mobo award for best African act has also been introduced, with voting taking place in Africa itself.
The nominees include Youssou N\'Dour, who recently performed at Live 8 and the Womad festival, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
Damian Marley, son of Bob Marley, is among nominees for Best Reggae Act.
