Once again Herbie Hancock surrounded himself with some extremly fine artist for his new project \'Possibilities\'. With continuously changing line-ups for each song, the 10 tracks on the album promise to give a new diversity in musical settings with some of the finest artists of the past three decades. Perhaps this is another Hancock classic which will stand ground in music history.

On the album you find loads of contemporary artists like Christina Aguilera, Annie Lennox, Paul Simon, Sting, Carlos Santana and some of the rare but oh-so talented new artists in the scene. What about British new Soul diva Joss Stone, from Ireland Damien Rice and Lisa Hannigan and gitarist-singer Raoul Midón, who combines rhythm & blues, Latin and Jazz in his own unique sound.
Besides the ever interesting new work of Herbie Possibilities also contains classic songs like \'A Song For You\' of Leon Russell, sung by Christina Aguilera, \'I Do It For Your Love\' by Paul Simon, \'Sister Moon\' by Sting and \'Don\'t Explain\' form the Billie Holiday songbook. John Mayer opens the record with \'Stitch Me Up\'.
In Hancock\'s own words about the record:
\"Possibilities really features The Cream Of The Crop.\"
And he is probably right. Born in Chicago in 1940, the ever young-looking pianist/composer is a musical wonder. From the moment he started playing with Miles Davis, Hancock is known for breaking musical boundaries. It was during that time his name as an instrumentalist and composer was settled with timeless songs like \'Watermelon Man\', \'Cantaloupe Island\', \'Dolphin Dance\' and \'Rock-It\'.
This album promises some heavy new stuff of one of the world\'s finest musicians ever. Especially with a line up with even so great as versatile artists on this record. The album must be in local stores in the start of September.
Personnel includes drummers Steve Jordan, Tom \"Tomo\" Osander, Teddy Campbell and Dennis Chambers, and percussionists Raul Rekow, Cyro Baptista and Karl Perazzo.
