#Solosolo started with a download of the backing track that Thomas Lang made, and film yourself while playing drums or any other instrument, or even dancing or singing to the 120bpm of the track. Still available online, the song - plus more versions- was to be downloaded at the Drum School's soundcloud account. Just sending it in would give you a spot in the final video below.

Modern Drummer and Drum Channel backed the entire project and the result is a video of 7:45 minutes filled with creative input from all over the globe



The Global entry list
Thomas Lang, Gregg Bissonette, Matt Starr, Fred Armisen, Jon Smith, and many drummers from around the globe joined the 9 Beats effort. The list is just as inspiring as it is connecting drummers and musicians worldwide; there are entries from New York on trumpet, tabla and fagott (or Holzblasinstrument, as the Germans call it). Also congas, a kanjira performance from India, and skills on the darbuka from the Ukraine. Toddlers Julia & Giovanni from New York are definitely the cutest highlights!
