Rhythm magazine's announcement on Instagram
Alas, what currently appears to be our final issue. The good news is that it's out now, and you can get your very own copy...today! Thanks to all the readers of the magazine over the years, every drummer we've ever featured in the magazine, and the brands who have continued to value and support the largest independent, unbiased voice in the UK drum community. We truly appreciate it.
Rhythm magazine's announcement on Facebook
Our new issue is out today, and as you might have heard, it is currently scheduled to be the final issue of Rhythm. Inside, we speak to Mastodon's Brann Dailor, Mike Joyce, Mark Richardson of Skunk Anansie and pop session player, Gerry Morgan. To celebrate 25 years of Soundgarden's Superunknown, we show you how to play ‘Spoonman', plus there's also a video lesson for James Brown ‘I Feel Good'
In our gear section we get our hands on the new Alesis Strike multipad, plus the Zildjian Company K Cluster Crashes, K Sweet hi-hats and Crash Of Doom.
It's a sad day, and we'd like to thank you all for supporting the magazine over its 34-year presence on the newsstand. Without the support of our readers, the drum industry and countless artists, Rhythm wouldn't have survived as long as it did. So, thank you. We are truly grateful.
@themusicalelitist You guys will be sorely missed.
@888riddim888 Not you too ? This is terrible news :( you were and always will be the UK's best drum magazine ??

@Matthew Hubbard Is there no way of saving this magazine
@David Jones I’ve cancelled my direct debit just in case future publishing take more money great magazine shame it has to end problem is the digital age but I assume there’s more old school like me that prefer the shiny magazine rather than an iPad version
@Tony Wood Can Future publishing confirm I will still have access to my digital copies (seeing as they haven’t replied to my enquiry on their website)?
Shame they haven’t taken the opportunity to contact subscribers with the news.
@Dan Jones WTF! No!
@Drumazon This is the saddest news. Rhythm has been an incredible resource for the U.K. drumming community for such a long time, it will be incredibly missed! Thanks to the entire Rhythm Magazine team past and present and best wishes to everyone moving forward.
