Candlebox will be touring this summer and fallto celebrate the 20th anniversary of their sophomore album 'Lucy', but it won't be with long-time drummer Scott Mercado. Guitarist Peter Klett will be absent too.
After twenty-plus years of rocking the road and creating great music together, Peter Klett and Scott Mercado have decided to take a break from touring with Candlebox.
Parting ways amicably, the drummer and guitarist have decided to devote their careers full time to Lotus Crish and their other side projects.
Former Pearl Jam sticksman Dave Krusen, who played with Candlebox from 1996-2001, has been recruited to replace Scott.
Scott co-founded Candlebox in Seattle in December 1991. He first left the band in 1997 in order to pursue another love, jazz. The original Candlebox line-up, with Scott on drums, reunited in 2006.
