Congratulations to Shariq "Tiq" Tucker, the drummer who was crowned 2015 Champion of Guitar Center's 26th annual Drum-Off competition.
Last weekend, the top five undiscovered drummers in the United States battled one more time during the grand finale at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, California.
Judged by professional drummers including Dave Elitch, Nisan Stewart, Eric Hernandez and "Queen" Cora Dunham, among others, the five finalists gave everything they had.
Being the winner of the grand prize, Shariq "Tiq" Tucker takes home $25,000 cash, a Roland TD-30KV electronic drum kit plus the SPD-SX sampling pad and the GoPro Hero 3+ Music Edition (2qty) plus accessories among others. Shariq can also choose endorsement deals for a drum set, cymbals, sticks and drumheads.
Guitar Center: for drums too Guitar Center is probably the largest chain of musical instrument retailers in the world with around 250 locations throughout the United States. Despite its name, the company is also a major seller of drums and percussion. 2014 marks the milestone 50th anniversary of the Guitar Center brand.
