American students, it is time to become a hero for your High School Marching Band and enter the video contest 'My Pit's the Pits'. Rally your percussion pals and create a video detailing who you are and telling us about your band director and why your school could use new percussion equipment. Your video should be a maximum of 10 minutes long and give the world a glimpse into your school's music and band program. Deadline for entry is October 31st and the contest is US based only.
The contest is more about creativity than production quality. You don't have to worry about fancy camerawork and make something awesome. A video taken with a mobile device is perfectly acceptable.
How to enter? Upload your video to YouTube then share it on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and anywhere else you can think of. Marching & Education experts will judge, and ten semi-finalists will be featured on Zildjian.com. Three schools will be selected to win, and the video submission with the most views on YouTube will win the Viewer's Choice Award.
Prizes The total ARV (Approximate Retail Value) package of all prizes is $26,350. And that is a lot!
