Zildjian introduced the concept of multi drummer performances back in 1983. Since then the Zildjian Day concept has travelled across the globe from South America to Europe and Asia.

November 16 - Holland

• Aaron Spears
  Joining Usher's camp has not only awarded Aaron the opportunity to play with some of the greatest musicians on the planet in the form of Juan "Natural" Najera, Arthur Strong, Valdez Brantley, but also worked with them to produce 2 tracks on Usher's multi-platinum CD "Confessions." Aaron later continued with the "Funk Rock Orchestra" (Usher's Band) as they toured all over the world for the next year and a half. He felt extremely blessed to be able to see countries and cities his parents only dreamed of. It was on this tour that Aaron began to gain some major attention and found his name in the same sentences with some of his heroes and greatest influences.
  
  Aaron attributes his success first to God. He recognizes God as being the driving force in his life and his playing. Aaron also recognizes a host of great players thru the years who he has looked to as inspiration. Michael Williams, Joel Smith, Jeff Davis, Kevin Brunson, Gerald Heyward, Teddy Campbell, Dennis Chambers, Steve Smith, Vinnie Colaiuta, Simon Phillips, Billy Cobham, Dave Weckl, Chris Dave, Michael Bland, Carter Beauford, Papa Jo Jones, Travis Barker, Stewart Copeland, Paul "Buggy" Edwards, Milton Smith, Steve Gadd, Calvin Rogers, Little John Roberts, Adrian Young, Brian Frasier-Moore, and Nisan Stuart are some of the musicians that have helped to influence and inspire Aaron.
  
  
• Gavin Harrison
  1998 Gavin played a stadium tour with Baglioni again playing to enormous crowds in venues like the Olympic Stadium in Rome (in front of 92,000 people) San Siro in Milan (85,000) and so on around the football stadiums of Italy.
  
  In 2000 Gavin became musical director of UK garage legends Artful Dodger and around this time started to work with the highly acclaimed soul artist Lewis Taylor. Afterwards Gavin played tours with Go West and Lisa Stansfield. In early 2002 Gavin was invited to join the art rock band Porcupine Tree and has played with them ever since - recording the albums In Absentia (2002) and Deadwing (2005) and making several tours of the USA and Europe. Gavin has written two educational drum methods - the award winning Rhythmic Illusions and Rhythmic Perspectives and two DVD's Rhythmic Visions and Rhythmic Horizons.
  
  
• Pat Dorcean
  Pat Dorcean plays amongst others with:
  Hadise (also MD for her international band), Reggie Washington, Brahim (also MD), Sandrine, Moiano, Yoko Sound, Bassida AKA Ida Funkhouser, 1060, Mo & Grazz, Coco jr., Bai Kamara Jr., Miss Camille, Marc Lelangue.

• Hans Eijkenaar
  Hans has an extremely hectic schedule of live and recording work and has been voted #1 drummer many times for the Benelux in Holland's top percussion magazine Slagwerkkrant. Hans: "Drumming is a rough trade?! Have you ever worked in a coalmine?"
  
  Hans is currently playing in the European band of Gino Vannelli and performs at summerfestivals with Roger Hodgson (Supertramp) in Germany, Spain and Portugal. He is also drummer for TV show The Voice.
  
  
• Jimmy van den Nieuwenhuizen
  
• Koen Herfst
  Koen Herfst is a versatile drummer, playing rock, metal, pop, hiphop and dance. He is known for his work with the #1 DJ in the world, Armin van Buuren, the death metal band I Chaos, the thrash metal band Dew-Scented and crossover band, Bagga Bownz, amongst many other bands and projects. Playing on a professional level since he was 17, he has now played in more than 20 countries for audiences of 18 to 180,000. Readers of Dutch drum magazine Slagwerkkrant recently voted him as one of the top rock/metal drummers of his country and as runner-up in the Drummer’s Drummer category. Koen has been focusing on studio work in his own drum studio, his first solo album, doing clinics and recording/touring with his bands & projects.
  
  
• Cesar Zuiderwijk
  The Drumbassador for the Netherlands! Cesar has played with Zildjian for over 40 years. He is active playing with his band the Golden Earring and is very succesfull with his one man drum show in the Dutch Theaters called drumbonen en Kaneelstokken. Besides drumming, he is teaching drums at his Musicschool musicstation and inspiring young drummers to start playing the drums with his clinics.

• Thomas Holmen
  Drummer Thomas Holmen is a very busy guy. As guardian of the groove for Danish pop-rock sensations Infernal, Holmen spends his days on the road, cranking a powerful backbeat for one of Denmark’s most popular bands. Infernal is a very popular live act because of the energy and the performance and the mix between acoustic and electronic sounds, says Holmen. We play almost every festival in Denmark during the summer months, as well as gigs in Germany, Poland, UK, and other parts of Scandinavia. We do some club gigs in Italy and France, and we’re shooting videos in Paris, New York, and Miami. Of course, Holmen doesn’t sit idle between tours; he stays busy on other projects and maintains a full schedule of students and drum clinics across Denmark. He played a tour last summer with DJ Kato, one of Denmark’s most well-known DJs, and recently did some tracks with Snoop Dogg.

• Jacopo Volpe
  Jacopo joined an important Italian band called Vanilla Sky. With Vanilla Sky he did more than 400 gigs in just five years, all over the world - Italy, Japan, Austria, France, Germany, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Russia, Belarus, Netherlands and many more. They also played in some of the biggest European Festivals and shared the stage with bands like +44, Suicidal Tendencies, Yellowcard, Rage Against The Machine, All Time Low, Lagwagon and many more.
  
  Vanilla Sky signed a recording contract with Universal Music Italy and have produced and worked together for more than 4 years. Their single "Umbrella" has been number 1 on the music charts in The Netherlands, Belgium and Brazil.
  
  
• Cesare Petulicchio
  Italian drummer, Cesare Petulicchio, first gained major notoriety as the drummer in the rock power duo of BSBE, one of the most famous alternative band in Italy. Cesare first started drumming at six years old. His sound is a very personal mix of rock from 70's plus hard funk and hard blues groove. He also plays for other alternative italian bands.

• Simon Scheibel
  In 2005 Simon moved to the Netherlands, where he studied Drums at the Conservatorium Arnhem, studying with René Creemers and Joop van Erven, and earning his degree in 2009. During that time he also attended various national and international Workshops (e.g. International Jazzworkshop Trier, Germany in 2007 and 2008; X-Treme Drum Camp, Athens, Greece in 2007).
  
  With his Progressive-Indie Band „Lake Cisco Simon reached the 2010 finals of the national Newcomercontest „Local Heroes and got awarded as „best instrumentalist of all participants.
  
  Today, Simon has relocated to Cologne, Germany, teaching drums at various music schools and playing in the following bands: Lake Cisco (www.lakecisco.com), Natalie Kies Trio (www.flavors.me/nataliekies), ZZ11 (www.myspace.com/zz11orchestra). Simon is proud to endorse Zildjian Cymbals and Pearl Drums since 2009.
  
  
• Hendrik Lensing
  Hendrik Lensing was born on April 23rd 1987 in western Germany. After spending many years in learning the piano, he started drumming around ten. He gained experience in several local bands of different styles and moved 2007 to the Netherlands to study drums at the ArtEZ Conservatorium Anrhem with René Creemers and Joop van Erven. After graduation 2011 he started teaching at the Drummers Institute in Düsseldorf, playing with many different Artists and forming his modern Jazz & Funk band Filou.
  
  
• Manuel Lotter
  It didn't take long after their album release that Manuel became an endorser for Vic Firth, Zildjian, Tama and Evans. In summer 2013 Manuel teamed up with 8 string wonder Andreas Schaberer and together they founded The Bellerophon Project. With only drums and one guitar they create technical music at its finest. They have released their first single Crystal Lattice and are preparing for workshops and clinics in the next year.
  
  Manuel has already shared the stage with big names in the metal scene: Heaven Shall Burn, Caliban, We Butter The Bread With Butter, Dead by April, War Of Ages, Narziss, The Sorrow and many more and has already toured all of Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
  
  Manuel Lotter is, for sure, one of the best, young, aspiring drumming talents in the German metal, progressive and rock scene. In March 2013 he was featured with an interview in Germany's biggest drums mag Sticks in the category Drummer of the Month.
  
  
• Bodo Stricker
  He has now become a role model for young drummers who are trying to emulate his fast as lightning feet. Bodo’s name has now become synonymous with extraordinary double-bass skills and he constantly strives to be even better.
  
  Over the past couple of years, Bodo has also been a staple at Musikmesse Frankfurt, where he always performs at the DW booth. In 2010 the DrUmBeAsT was also featured on a large banner next to Dennis Chambers at the Zildjian booth. Simultaneously, once again he was featured in a Zildjian advertising campaign across Germany. This time for the Z3 cymbals. In addition to Zildjian cymbals and DW drums, pedals & hardware he also endorses Vic Firth sticks and Remo heads. Occassionally, he perfoms with his brother Ulf as a much celebrated drum duo.
  
  His famous lightning-speed double-bass play, his eclectic drumming skills ranging from jazz and hip-hop to metal and his dedication and passion for drums make everyone believe why he is called the DrUmBeAsT.

  Steve Sidelnyk got his start touring with the band Style Council as a percussionist in 1983. He also toured with The Blow Monkeys, Aztec Camera, Yazz, Tetsuya Komuro and The Soup Dragons as a percussionist through the mid 80's into the 90's. He played drums for Primal Scream and Massive Attack in the mid 90's and returned to percussion for The Verve in 1998. He got the drumming gig with Madonna in 2000 and remained with her for 7 years.
