On January 30, on Dutch radio station Radio 6, North Sea Jazz festival manager Jan Willem Luyken has announced the first names for the North Sea Jazz Festival 2013. Santana, John Legend and Sting will be headlining this year's edition. Besides them Dionne Warwick, Medeski, Martin & Wood and Branford Marsalis Quartet will also perform during the three days indoor festival at Rotterdam.
Further confirmed are Kenny Barron Trio, Mala in Cuba, Michel Camilo & Tomatito and John Zorn, who will bring a special birthday marathon ‘Zorn at 60’, including Song Project, Illuminations, The Holy Visions & The Alchimist, Templars, The Dreamers and Electric Masada.
Also performing at the 38th edition of the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, will be Bettye Lavette, Charles Bradley, Ibrahim Maalouf, Dee Dee Bridgewater & Ramsey Lewis and the Roy Hargrove Quintet.
